Am Jur Question

Good morning,

I am at my part-time externship and trying to find a relevant Am Jur for my boss. The problem is, I can't figure out his citation. Could you please let me know how I might be able to find what I need with this information: "Vol 6 Am Jur 2d Section 3.72-4 - Attachment & Garnishments"??

Any advice you have would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Answer

Hi Carolline,

This cite is a bit confusing. I am assuming that it is referring to Sections 372 to 374 of the Attachment and Garnishment section of AmJur.

Get into Westlaw and then to American Jurisprudence 2nd. Once in AmJur, use this search query:

6 amjur attachment & garnishment 372

You will be brought to § 372. Time of maturity or acquisition of garnishee's claim

And, fyi:

§ 373. Bank's right of setoff against garnished deposits

§ 374. Appearance by garnishee; defendant

If this isn't on point, let me know.

Best wishes,

Christine
